Every year, for a few days, costumes start appearing around the hotel, the Tahitianos get ready for the occasion and one question comes up that some people would rather not ask themselves too soon: will I go into the tunnel of terror this year?
From 30 October to 2 November, Halloween returns to Hotel Tahití Playa with activities for the whole family, shows, music and a few surprises. It is a celebration that has become part of our season, with a rather unusual backdrop for this time of year: the Mediterranean right in front of us.
HALLOWEEN RETURNS TO HOTEL TAHITÍ PLAYA
Anyone who has celebrated Halloween with us before knows that the atmosphere changes during these few days. You can still go for a walk by the sea, enjoy Santa Susanna or spend a quiet morning at the hotel, but as the day goes on, costumes and characters begin to appear, offering a few clues about what is coming after dark.
For first-time visitors, combining a Mediterranean getaway with Halloween might seem a little unusual. For those who return, that is precisely part of the appeal: coming back knowing that some of the activities they look forward to every year will be there and discovering what we have prepared for this edition.
And not everyone in the family needs to be equally brave. There are plenty of ways to enjoy Halloween.
WHO WILL GO INTO THE TUNNEL OF TERROR FIRST?
There is one scene that happens every year. During the day, everyone seems absolutely certain that they are going in. Then the moment arrives, the entrance to the tunnel of terror is right in front of them, and the negotiations begin.
“You go first.”
“No, let’s go in together.”
And there is always someone who has spent hours insisting that they are not scared, only to suddenly become much less certain.
We are not going to tell you what happens inside. Part of the fun is not knowing. What we can tell you is that the tunnel of terror returns as part of our Halloween celebrations and has become one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the event.
Anyone who would rather stay outside will have plenty to do as well. There is nothing to prove here.
YOUR COSTUME DESERVES A PLACE IN THE SUITCASE TOO
There are weekends when you pack your suitcase thinking about which clothes to bring. This one comes with an extra decision: who do you want to be for a few hours?
The costume competition once again brings children and adults together, with everything from genuinely terrifying outfits to ideas that prove you do not need to make things too complicated when you have a little imagination. Some families arrive with their costumes prepared at home, while others end up putting something together almost at the last minute.
The Tahitianos will be ready for Halloween too, and younger guests will have their own party moments, including the minidisco. Once characters start appearing all around the hotel, it becomes rather difficult to remain just a spectator.
HALLOWEEN HAS A FAMILY-FRIENDLY SIDE TOO
Not every child wants to be scared. Not every adult does either, although some might prefer not to admit it. That is why celebrating Halloween as a family works best when there are different ways to join in.
Throughout these days there will be activities and entertainment designed for different ages. Younger children can enjoy their own plans, while others will be waiting for nightfall to put on their costumes or take on the tunnel of terror.
The programme also includes shows such as Mago Igor, music and plenty of opportunities for everyone to come together again. Each member of the family can have their own favourite activity and still end up sharing the same evening.

By then, we have enjoyed months of pool days, beach time, entertainment, dinners, shows and holidays by the sea. Before we say goodbye until next season, there is still one important celebration left.
The Last Night is part of these final days and brings a season that began many months earlier to a close. For the hotel team and for everyone who chooses to join us, it is a different kind of evening, with that particular combination of celebration and farewell that only comes once a year.
The next morning, the Mediterranean will still be exactly where it was. But we will be a little closer to closing our doors until next season.
